This entry-level machine has been designed for effective weld cleaning and marking processes for an attractive price point without compromising the Cougartron's safety standards and design features that its customers are used to.
The PowerOne is an ideal weld cleaner for occasional jobs that don't require daily cleaning or very specific application. It will perform great on both TIG and MIG stainless steel welds. With PowerOne it is not possible to adjust the amps during the weld cleaning process, therefore you need to be careful when working on extra thin welds to prevent overheating. However you do have control over the input voltage (110V or 230V) for overall working flexibility.

Cougartron specializes in stainless steel weld cleaning, passivation and surface treatment solutions. Their innovation lies in a relatively new electrochemical cleaning technology, which is faster and safer method compared to chemical pickling or mechanical grinding.
The electrolytic cleaning is a process by which post-weld impurities are removed by using electrical current, conductive brush and a specialized electrolyte fluid.
This is done for multiple reasons:
• To restore the protective passive layer of stainless steel,
• To increase the longevity and the corrosion-resistance of the metal surface after welding process (which destroys the passive layer of stainless steel and makes it more susceptible to corrosion). Two most common issues are rust and cross-contamination.
• To remove heat-tints, discoloration and other impurities from the surface – for visual and cosmetic reasons. (this is a requirement in many industries)
