The Trailing Shields are designed for high quality gas coverage of:
- Titanium.
- Duplex steels.
- Stainless steels.
- and other reactive metals while welding.
They can be supplied to fit any make of TIG (GTAW) or plasma (PAW) welding torch for manual and automatic welding on pipes, vessels or flat plate.
By using a Trailing Shield, welds will be left bright and shiny without discoloration and oxidation.

- Eliminate wasted material costs due to oxidation.
Each radiused Trailing Shield is manufactured to suit the specific diameter of the pipe, tube, vessel or tank to be welded. They can be configured for either outside or inside welding.
The Flat Trailing Shields for flat plate, sheet and rectangular tanks and fabrications are available in:
- Small lightweight versions for manual welders.
- Larger, slightly heavier versions, for attaching to automatic/mechanized welding systems.
Both permit faster welding while maintaining a perfect gas shield.
