Airbus choose West Country Welding
As a result of an extensive evaluation programme, Airbus have chosen the Triton 220 AC/DC Digital Inverter TIG welding machine with Cool 20 U20 cooling unit manufactured by EWM Hightec Welding GmbH in Germany.
The machine satisfied all the criteria for the welding of Titanium, Aluminium and Stainless Steel, with extremely user friendly control panel. In particular the very quiet Cool 20 U20 cooling unit, was a distinct advantage to the operators, as was the compact size of the complete water cooled package.

The order is supported by the excellent technical back up from both the manufacturer, and in particular the specialist distributor of EWM products in the region, West Country Welding Supplies Ltd. The excellent service offered by Craig Elliot and his team at West Country Welding in supply and commissioning of the machines was most important to Airbus. The fact that all requirements were satisfied with a very competitive price was a pivotal factor in the decision.
